Enjoy 2 hours of tubing at Willard Mountain, we will have a bonfire with smores and the tubing lodge has hot chocolate, coffee, snacks and plenty of room to warm up and relax. There is a walk on lift that takes you back up to top of tubing park, a great event for all ages. Please allow extra time for travel if snowing, the roads up to the mountain are quite steep in spots, so 4WD/AWD come in handy if available. Please wear weather appropriate clothing & footwear, when you enter the parking lot the tubing lodge will be on the far right side of lot. Axe Throwing with Joy US: Join us for an uplifting experience filled with camaraderie and fun. This event is free for cancer survivors, patients, and their loved ones. Enjoy 3 hours of Axe Throwing at The Yard in Albany on Saturday February 7th from 1-4pm. While rotating players for Axe throwing, there will also be indoor lawn games to play, and water will be provided for everyone. Snacks and other beverages are available for purchase. The event begins with a coach led warm up and then we all perform 10 kettlebell swings each minute for an entire hour. Enjoy a fun morning learning to play Disc Golf at Ridge/Jenkinsville Park.  We are limiting this to 14 attendees with 2 tickets available for each cancer patient/survivor; discs & bottled water will be provided for attendees. Players complete a hole by throwing a disc from a tee pad or tee area toward a basket, throwing again from where the previous throw landed, until the basket is reached. The baskets are formed by wire with hanging chains above the basket, designed to catch the incoming discs, which then fall into the basket.

Paddling through the flight of locks is a relaxing and scenic experience and is suitable for those comfortable sitting and paddling for approximately 2 – 3 hours. Each lock takes approximately 20 minutes to lower and exiting each lock provides unique and beautiful views, so don’t forget your camera! It’s just 10 minutes from Lake George and is easily accessible for thrill seekers that are looking to spend part of the day on the water. The “Sac” has 3.5 miles of dam released Class II-III Whitewater. With a minimum age of 5, almost everyone can enjoy New York’s best 2 hour whitewater rafting trip. Joy US Foundation finalizes total number of attendees prior to events and pays based on that total. We completely understand when the need to cancel arises, we do ask that you cancel your ticket on Eventbrite so the next person on waiting list may be contacted. We do ask that cancer patient/survivor in each group fill out a brief intake form, type of cancer, date diagnosed and events you would like to see in the future.
